32-year-old man dies after crashing into utility pole on W. High St.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – One man has died after crashing into a utility pole Sunday morning.

The Fayette County Coroner has identified the driver as 32-year-old Carlos Manuel Gonzalez Amaya.

The crash happened in the 800 block of West High Street around 3 A.M.

According to the coroner, Amaya was taken to u-k hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Lexington police say he crashed into a utility pole, the front porch of a house and a tree.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
