3-month-old puppy found in trash bag along street

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Animal control is asking for help finding the person who dumped a three-month-old puppy in a tied trash bag on a street in Lexington.

Lexington-Fayette Animal Care & Control says someone called at 10:59 a.m. Friday to say they found the puppy abandoned in a trash bag on the curb located on Owsley Avenue.

Animal control officers say when they arrived, the pit bull puppy was cold and barely alive.

The dog is now being cared for by a veterinarian and is said to be showing signs of improvement.
