28-year-old Lexington man shot and killed early Saturday morning

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Fayette County Coroner says 28-year-old Demonte Washington was shot and killed early Saturday morning.

Lexington police say it happened outside at the intersection of Winchester Road and Hillcrest Avenue around 3 a.m.

When officers got there they say they found Washington dead.

The coroner confirming he died from the gunshot wound.

Lexington police is investigating this as a homicide.
