KSP searching for inmate who walked off work release detail
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are asking for help from the public in finding an inmate that escaped the Webster County Detention Center on Monday.
Troopers say 61-year-old Jack Wayne Phillips walked off from a work release detail at the Webster County Animal Shelter at about 11:45 a.m.
Phillips was last seen wearing a long sleeve orange shirt and khaki pants. Investigators say he stands 6 feet tall, weighs 140 pounds, and has gray hair and blue eyes.
Police say he was serving time for trafficking in controlled substances, tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic offenses out of Grant County.
Anyone with information on Phillips’ whereabouts is asked to call KSP at (270) 676-3313.
