PERRY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Drivers who use the entrance ramp from Combs Road (KY 80 west/KY 550) to southbound KY 15 in Perry County will need to find another route on Friday, July 16.
The ramp will be closed for repairs, as work continues on the new four-lane segment of KY 15 and the reconstruction of the interchange.
This is similar to the July 7 closure of the same ramp.
The ramp will close shortly after 8 a.m., and is expected to reopen late in the afternoon or early in the evening.
No marked detour will be posted. Eastbound traffic on KY 80 can use the Hal Rogers Parkway between Exit 56 and Exit 59, or Morton Boulevard, to access southbound KY 15. Westbound traffic on KY 550 can use KY 476 through Wabaco and Walkertown to access downtown Hazard. Electronic message boards are in place to inform drivers of the closure.
None of the other three ramps at the interchange will be impacted.
