MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 55-year-old Missouri man was killed Tuesday night when the 18-wheeler he was driving crashed on I-69 in Hopkins County.
According to the Kentucky State Police, Jesse Steven Gott, of Dexter, Mo., died just before 10 p.m. when the 2015 Peterbilt he was driving towing a trailer wrecked on I-69 southbound near the 101 mile marker.
Troopers said Gott’s truck crossed the median and both northbound lanes before crashing into a guardrail and the concrete bridge end of the Wells Road overpass, before overturning multiple times.
Gott was pronounced deceased at the scene by Hopkins County Coroner Dennis Mayfield. The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Hunter Carroll.
