Man arrested for arson in Irvine confessed to setting fire

IRVINE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 22-year-old man who confessed to setting a fire in Irvine on Friday has been arrested.

According to Irvine police, a call came in around 2 p.m. Friday about a fire on Kirkland Avenue.

When police arrived, firefighters were battling the flames. According to police, they got some information a male was seen running from the scene down to the river.

After setting up a perimeter, police were able to locate the individual and identified him as Isaiah Harvey of Irvine.

Police say Harvey confessed to setting the fire. No word on a motive.

Harvey was arrested and booked at Three Forks Regional Jail on second degree arson charges.

In addition to her background on TV, Erica has worked in radio, served as the PA announcer for the Class A "Lansing Lugnuts" and hosted Carnival parades in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Some of her favorite hobbies include running, reading, hiking, spending time with her husband and taking pictures of their furbabies. Erica is big on community involvement, having served as a board member for Dress for Success, volunteered as a Big with Big Brothers Big Sisters, worked on the Mayor's Armed Forces Commission in Lake Charles and hosted countless events.
