FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – A timeless Kentucky tradition continues Saturday with the Governor’s Christmas Tree Lighting in Frankfort.
The event begins with the Frankfort Christmas Parade at 6:00 p.m. The parade route will travel from High Street to Capital Avenue, ending at the Capitol Circle. The tree lighting will follow the parade. There will be complimentary hot chocolate and cookies.
After the tree lighting, the public is invited to walk to the Governor’s Mansion to see the decorations and meet Santa Claus.
Governor Matt Bevin and Governor-elect Andy Beshear and their families will be in attendance.
