2014 Child Booster Seat Ratings Released

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety just released its annual ratings of child booster seats.

It said a record number of models had received the highest possible rating.

Boosters were rated as best buy, good bet, check fit or not recommended.

IIHS said the ratings had been measured by how three-point lap and shoulder belts fit a child-size test dummy seated in the booster.

The evaluations focused on belt fit and did not involve crash tests.
