2 Lexington vape shops broken into overnight

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police in Lexington are investigating two break-ins at area vape shops early Friday morning.

Officers say the first happened just after midnight at the Avail Vapor store on Nichols Park.  Police say a witness saw a man throw a cinder block through the front glass window and go in the store.  Investigators say several vaping items and juices were taken before the suspect rode off on a dark-colored dirt bike.  The suspect is described as a man between 5’8″ and 5’10” tall, and was wearing dark-colored clothing.

Then, at about 12:30 a.m., officers say they were called to the Precision Vapor store on Southland Drive after an alarm was triggered.  Police say the front glass had been broken at the store.  The suspect there also took vaping merchandise.

Police say no money was taken from either store.  No word on if the burglaries are the work of the same person.
