UPDATE: second victim identified in New Circle/Leestown crash

Update: (02/27 8:30 p.m.)

Lexington, Ky. (WTVQ)- Both people killed in the deadly wreck Wednesday on New Circle Road at Leestown Road in Lexington were in the same car.

The coroner identified the second victim Thursday night as 21-year-old Christopher Monst Coyle, who lived in Lexington.

According to the coroner, Coyle died of multiple blunt force trauma.

The coroner says Coyle was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the wreck and he died at the scene where as the driver, 21-year-old Bethany Staub, was pronounced dead at UK Hospital.

Combs, Parsons, and Collins Funeral Home of Richmond are handling Coyle’s funeral arrangements.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- One of the two people killed in a multi-vehicle crash on New Circle Road at Leestown Road has been identified.

The coroner says 21-year-old Bethany Staub was taken to UK Hospital, where she later died.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Officials say police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that killed two people on New Circle at Leestown Road.

Lexington Police say one driver lost control of the wheel, crossed the median and hit another vehicle head-on.

Lexington Traffic Management said traffic was temporarily stopped on the inner loop at Leestown Road and all outer loop traffic was sent to the Leestown Road exit.

Lexington Police say the scene is now cleared.
