2 bodies, meth lab found inside burned building

HARRODSBURG, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky State Police say they are investigating after two bodies and a meth lab were found in a burned building.

Media report someone reported seeing smoke at the former Chubby’s Auto Sales in Harrodsburg on Saturday evening and called dispatchers.

Firefighters arrived to find the bodies of a man and a woman inside a room where the fire was contained. Police say the meth lab was found during an ensuing investigation.

Mercer County Coroner C. David Ransdell identified the man as 50-year-old Douglas Carter and the woman as Carol F. Anderson, who was in her 40s. Their causes of death weren’t immediately available.

Police say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
