2 arrests in Laurel Co. burglaries, 3rd suspect still at-large
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police are looking for a third Laurel Co. burglary suspect, after two men from Florida were arrested following a police chase.
Troopers are accusing 20-year-old Christopher Wooten, and 19-year-old David Martavious, both from Fort Lauderdale, Florida of burglarizing two homes on Club Valley Estates Road back on November 1. Investigators say over $28,500 dollars in jewelry and electronics were stolen.
The Laurel Co. Sheriff’s Office says there was also a break-in on the same day off Crooked Creek Road and Club Valley Estates where more than $10,000 dollars in jewelry and other items were stolen on that same day.
Troopers say Wooten and Martavious were caught on Tuesday, after a police chase on I-75, just north of Lexington.
They say a third suspect, 20-year-old Kareem Brown, fled on foot and is still at large.
Warrants have been issued for his arrest.
