2 Arrested After Man Gets Shot in Both Feet

Two men have been arrested following an argument that led to a Whitley County man being shot in both feet, according to State Police.

Troopers said they were sent to Little Spruce Creek Road around 1:15 Wednesday morning after getting a report that David McNeil, 58, had been shot.

According to investigators, 41-year-old Mark Paul and 39-year-old Michael Skidmore came to McNeil’s home and began arguing, with Skidmore reportedly firing multiple shots from a handgun.

Troopers said Skidmore and Paul then ran off after McNeil was hit by two of the bullets, but they were soon located and charged with first-degree assault.

Both of them were lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.

McNeil was taken to a nearby hospital and then flown to UK Medical Center for his injuries.
