$2.3 million safety improvement project to start on KY 32 in Harrison County

COVINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A highway safety improvement project is ready to begin on KY 32 in Harrison County.

Bob Yeager, chief district engineer for KYTC District 6, says, “This project will add a turn lane into the Harrison Memorial Hospital and the roadway elevation will be raised to help improve the sight distance.”

The alignment will be improved on KY 32 approximately .25 mile east of the Harrison Memorial Hospital to Grandview Drive.

The contractor plans to start work the week of July 9, weather permitting. Motorists should be mindful of lane closures and traffic control in the work zone.

Hinkle Contracting Company, of Paris, Kentucky, was awarded the low bid contract for $2.3 million. The project has an anticipated November 2018 completion.
