16 players advance in Drive, Chip and Putt competition regionals
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – More than 90 young golfers across Kentucky successfully advanced through Drive, Chip & Putt Local Qualifying throughout June and July.
By virtue of doing so, they had earned the right to compete in Sunday’s Sub-Regional Qualifier at Persimmon Ridge Golf Club in Louisville.
This step in the competition’s qualifying process is the second of three stages players must advance through in order to reach the National Finals held at Augusta National Golf Club prior to Masters week.
Sixteen players completed that step at Persimmon Ridge and will now be eligible to compete in the Regional Qualifier, which for Kentuckians will be held at Oakland Hills Country Club just outside of Detroit, Michigan.
