$12 million federal grant for Ky. children behavioral health services

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) received a four-year federal grant of up to $12 million to support behavioral health services for Kentucky’s youth.

It will go to CHFS’ System of Care program that aims to improve the behavioral health outcomes for anyone under 21 who have child welfare involvement and meet certain behavioral health criteria.

This is the first grant for System of Care that focuses on child welfare involvement.

Services are expected to support 1,485 youth over the grant period.
