Special Olympics track & field meet held at BSHS

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Hundreds of athletes competed in the Special Olympics track and field meet at Bryan Station High School in Lexington on Saturday.

This meet was the third of five weekends of the track and field season, which will end in May.

The Area 8 meet is one of eight regional track and field meets held statewide this year.

In all, more than 1,500 athletes throughout the state will participate in track and field competitions, making track and field the largest event in the Special Olympics program in Kentucky.
