Arrest made after stabbing in Laurel Co.

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Laurel Co. Sheriff says a man has been arrested in connection to a stabbing incident.

The Sheriff says John Kelvin Pace was arrested Monday morning just before 10:00 a.m. at a home on Chestnut Cemetery Road.

According to the Sheriff, deputies received a call, saying that a man’s throat had been cut at a home on Chestnut Cemetery Road.  When they arrived, deputies say they found the victim, Michael Gregory, with a serious cut to the throat from a kitchen knife.  Deputies say Gregory was a family friend who had been at the home for about an hour.  No word on what may have set the assault in motion.

Pace was charged with assault and taken to the Laurel Co. Detention Center.

Gregory was airlifted to UK hospital for treatment.
