Yoder the police horse gets award for making a comeback

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington Police officer picked up a honor on Monday.

Yoder the police horse received Rood and Riddle’s 2019 Comeback Award.

Yoder was injured last year as the Lexington Police’s mounted unit walked to join the Christmas parade and his hoof got stuck in a hydrant valve.

He recovered at Rood and Riddle Equine.

In a Twitter post, the Lexington Police Department thanked all the firefighters and veterinarians who came to Yoder’s rescue.
