Yard Waste Collection to Resume

Lexington’s Division of Waste Management will resume regular yard waste collection on Monday, January 5, 2015. 

In addition, the city will offer a public drop-off location for bagged and bundled yard waste as well as recycling of natural Christmas trees, at the old landfill site at 1631 Old Frankfort Pike. Hours of operation will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

 This service is open and available to all Fayette County residents.

When discarding your natural tree, remove all lights, ornaments, stands and decorations before placing it at the curb for regular collection or prior to bringing it to the drop-off location.  Collection of natural trees will run through January 16.

Residents may also drop off yard waste at the Haley Pike Waste Management facility .  The facility is located at 4216 Hedger Lane in Lexington.
