WoodSongs Old Time Radio Hour to return with variety of acts

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Michael Johnathon’s 2021 season of WoodSongs Old Time Radio Hour plans to return with a performance from IBMA and Grammy award winner, and Grand Ole’ Opry member, Rhonda Vincent & The Rage.

The performance will take place Aug. 16 at the Lyric Theatre in Lexington.

Vincent’s set to perform material from her album “Music Is What I See.”

Also featured will be Dillon Massengale and the Melody Hart Family. They will perform their Merle Haggard single with Vincent.

WoodSongs has more performances planned throughout August.

On Aug. 23, Merle Monroe, a band made up of Tim Raybon and Daniel Grindstaff, will play their hits along with cuts from their upcoming album “Songs of a Simple Life.” Award-winning songwriter Grace Pettis will also perform at the show.

Aug. 30 will see Linda Gail Lewis take the WoodSongs stage with her rock and roll, country material. Grammy-nominated Cedric Burnside will also bring his blues sound to the show towards the end of the month.
