Woodland Avenue bakery temporarily closes after fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A fire has temporarily closed The Great Bagel & Bakery’s Woodland Avenue location, the popular Lexington shop announced.

According to the business, there’s currently no set reopening date as insurance and health officials assess the damage and determine next steps.

In the meantime, the bakery’s Boston Road location is now open seven days a week and offering both dine-in and delivery options. Staff from the Woodland shop are helping out at the Boston Road store during the closure.
