Woodland Art Fair celebrates 42nd year
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Thousands of people in Lexington took advantage of Saturday’s weather at the 42nd annual Woodland Art Fair.
Organizers say it’s the oldest and largest art festival in Lexington.
Visitors walked through Woodland Park buying art, eating food and talking with friends. This year, people can create their own art at booths throughout the park.
Organizers say the best part about the festival is that is draws in people that don’t normally enjoy art.
“Maybe you’re just here for the beer and comradery… take a look around and see what catches your eye,” said Logan Dennison of the Lexington Art League. “If there’s something that you respond to, there’s probably something underneath that you could continue to develop.”
The Woodland Art Fair wraps up a 5 Sunday evening.
