Woodford County parents hold moment of silent against child abuse

WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A group of concerned parents gathered in front of Woodford County High School Friday night for a moment of silence against child abuse.

It stems from some parents calling for the superintendent and other administrators to resign, claiming they didn’t handle 2017/18 sexual harassment complaints against a high school choir teacher correctly.

Participants say while it was inspired from these events in their community, the 15 minutes of silence was to raise awareness of educator child sexual abuse and to break the cycle of silence.
