Woman turns up wounded as police investigate reported shootout

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – While Lexington Police investigated a reported shootout between people in two cars, a woman showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound, according to investigators.

Police say the woman’s wounds did not appear to be life-threatening.  Her name wasn’t released.

Investigators say a man also called police saying he had been shot at while in a car, but that he wasn’t hit.

Police say the call came in Friday around 8:30 p.m. on Scottsdale Drive.  Investigators say they did find shell casings at the location, but no cars and no victims.

The case is still under investigation.
