Woman shot while driving in Lexington

A drive through one Lexington neighborhood leaves a woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police say they were called to the 2100 block of Paul Jones Way just before 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
They found a couple in a car, with the female driver wounded in her right shoulder.
The couple told police they were driving around a neighborhood on Bainbridge Drive, looking for a place to rent when they were approached by a man.
They tell police the man was mumbling, they felt uncomfortable and drove off.
They say, as they did, the man fired four or five times at their car, striking the woman.
She was taken to the University of Kentucky hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Police say they found about 12 casings at the scene.
There have been no arrests so far.
