Woman shot to death outside club in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman died after being shot outside a club in Lexington overnight, according to Lexington Police.  It’s the city’s third homicide of 2019.

Investigators say some men and women got into a fight inside The Fox Club on Winchester Road.

Police say the fight moved outside into the parking lot where 27-year old Lesha Edwards was found shot when officers arrived around 2:30 a.m.

She was rushed to the hospital where she died, according to police.

Witnesses told police the shooter was a bearded man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a tattoo on his right hand and left side of his neck.
