Woman Seriously Hurt After Being Hit By SUV

Lexington Police said poor visibility contributed to a woman being hit by an SUV Saturday evening on Winchester Road.

Officers said the woman was cross from the Thornton’s gas station when an SUV struck her. Officers said the SUV had come over a hill and didn’t see the woman.

She was taken to UK with what officers described as life threatening injuries.

Winchester Road was closed Saturday evening while crews investigated the accident.
