Woman robbed Tuesday night in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police say a woman was robbed on Tuesday night in Lexington on Danielle Lane, near McKenzie Lane.

According to police, a woman was waiting on a friend when a man in a red passenger car pulled up to her and pulled out a handgun.

The man demanded money, which the woman handed over, according to police.

As the man drove off, he fired the handgun in the air, but the woman told police it did not sound like a real firearm.
