Woman pleads not guilty in Lexington summer murder case

LEXINGTON, KY. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A woman indicted on murder charges in connection to a deadly summer shooting pleaded not guilty during her arraignment.

Court records show that 30-year-old Keaira Pennie was indicted Monday by a grand jury for the murder of 42-year-old Edwin Haddix. Investigators say Haddix was found shot on Bryan Station Road on August 10 and later died at a hospital.

Future court dates for Pennie have not yet been set, according to officials.
