Woman Pleads Guilty To Abandoning Puppy In Frankfort
A woman will pay a fine and do community service after pleading guilty to abandoning a puppy in Frankfort.
Stephanie Cooper admitted to committing Animal Cruelty in the Second Degree.
She was arrested back in March after she dumped a 5-week-old chihuahua in a box near a river in Frankfort.
A judge Tuesday gave Cooper a 6-month diversion.
It means she won’t do jail time if she completes 200 hours of community service for a local animal shelter.
She also has to pay a $180 fine and cannot own or take care of dogs.
