Woman Killed In Laurel County Accident

A woman is dead and at least two other people are hurt following a serious collision in Laurel County.

Officials said the accident happened just before one this morning along Kentucky 1956. They told us the driver of the pickup was headed west when his truck dropped off the shoulder of the road and he over corrected, crashing head-on into an SUV.

Investigators said a passenger in the SUV, 40-year-old Trina Angel, was taken to a nearby hospital where she died.

According to deputies, two others had to be airlifted to UK with serious injuries.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
