Woman killed in collision in Edmonson County
BEE SPRING, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Louisville woman was killed Monday afternoon after colliding with a GMC truck on KY 259 N in Edmonson County, according to Kentucky State Police.
Investigators say 46-year old Julia E. Broderick was driving a 2007 Honda Accord south on KY 259 North in the Bee Spring Community around 2:00 p.m.
KSP says Broderick’s car crossed the center line and collided with a 2012 GMC truck driven by 54-year old Stanley K. Bragg, of Smiths Grove.
Investigators say Broderick died at the scene. Bragg and his passenger, 75-year old Stanley V. Bragg, were taken to Bowling Green Medical Center by Edmonson County EMS to be treated for non-life threatening injuries, according to State Police.
The investigation is being led by Trooper Mike Wathen. He was assisted on the scene by Edmonson County Coroner’s Office, Edmonson County EMS, Kyrock Fire Department, Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office, and Kentucky Department of Transportation.
