Woman, Juvenile Accused Of Robbery At Knifepoint
Police arrested a woman and a female juvenile Wednesday morning following a robbery in Lexington.
Police said a man called them from the Thorntons on the corner of North Broadway and West Loudon Avenue just before 9:45 p.m. to say two females robbed him at knifepoint.
The man described the car they left in and was able to provide a license plate number, according to police.
Two hours later, police stopped a car matching the description on West Loudon.
During a search, the officer said he found the victim’s cell phone and two knives hidden in the back seat.
Karen Hernandez, 19, was taken into custody along with a female juvenile.
Hernandez is charged with robbery and is set to be arraigned on Wednesday.
