Woman hurt after overnight shooting in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman is injured after being shot in Lexington.

According to police, a shooting occurred in the 400 block of Whispering Hills Drive at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Upon arrival, police say a woman with a gunshot wound was found, and was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to police, an unoccupied vehicle was struck by gunfire and several shell casings were found at the scene.

There are no suspects at this time. Police are investigating the incident.
