Woman Hit While Walking On Scott County Road
A woman was struck while walking along a Scott county road late Monday night.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office said the woman was walking on Frankfort Road near the intersection of Stamping Ground Road at around 11:45 p.m. when she was hit.
She was taken to the University of Kentucky hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to deputies.
They said the victim was conscious and alert at the scene.
Deputies said the road is not well-lit and it is almost impossible to see anyone if they are walking on it unless they are wearing a reflective vest.
They said driver did stop after the accident and they are not planning on pressing charges against the driver at this time.
