Woman hit after shots are fired into apartment

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman was struck by a bullet after someone fired shots into an apartment Wednesday.

Lexington police say two men were fighting outside an apartment building on Daniel Court around 7 p.m. when shots were fired.

Some of the rounds went into an apartment, hitting a woman inside.

Her injuries were not life threatening, according to police.

The apartment was also damaged.

Police say they believe the suspects drove away from the scene.
