Woman found shot in home; search on for suspect

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say a woman was found shot in the leg in a home in the 800 block of Warfield Place Thursday night.

Investigators say the woman suffered non-life threatening injuries.  She was taken to the hospital to be treated.  Her name wasn’t released.

Police say the woman knows the accused shooter.  His name wasn’t released by police.  He is described as being 5’11” and 170-pounds, driving a silver Chrysler.  As of this writing, police are looking for him.

Investigators say they’re trying to determine what led to the shooting.  They say it happened around 9:30 p.m.
