Woman Finds Burglar Inside Home Overnight

A Lexington woman had a close encounter with a burglar early Tuesday morning.

Police said around 12:30 a.m., the woman reported that she saw a man in a red t-shirt going out of the backdoor of her home on Old Paris Road.

Investigators said she told them she was missing money from her purse, which was sitting on a table by the door.

Police are still searching for a suspect.
