Woman dies from injuries after crashing into tree

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)-A Lexington woman who was fighting serious injuries from a car crash this week has died.

Police say 39-year-old Melissa Thomas drove her truck into a tree around midnight on Kenesaw Drive near Armstrong Mill Road.

The coroner says Thomas died Saturday morning at the hospital.
