Woman charged with vehicular homicide in deadly Kentucky crash
UPDATE:
CLAY CITY, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — A 25-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide following a deadly crash in Clay City, according to Kentucky State Police.
KSP says it was called in by Powell County dispatch to investigate the crash, which happened on Main Street near Dairy Queen.
Troopers say Alyson Marie Kay Martin, of Jeffersonville, was driving a car when she struck 42-year-old Ross P. Hicks of Mt. Sterling. Hicks was pronounced dead at the scene by Powell County Coroner Megan Wells Curtis.
Following the crash, Martin was arrested and charged with multiple offenses including leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid, tampering with physical evidence, vehicular homicide while under the influence of alcohol, and DUI (1st offense). She’s being held at the Montgomery County Regional Jail.
