Woman charged with drug trafficking following traffic stop

LINCOLN COUNTY, KY. (WTVQ) – A 21-year-old Stanford woman is charged with drug

trafficking following a traffic stop.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, Amber Cooper was charged Monday night after K9 Deputy Michael Mullins and Deputy Dustin Phillips stopped her car on Goshen Road.
K9 Luma indicated drugs in the car and deputies seized cash, nine grams of suspected meth, baggies and scales, the department said.
She was charged with trafficking in controlled substance 1st, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of forged instrument, according to Lincoln County Detention Center records.
A 33-year-old man in the car was arrested on unrelated failure to appear warrants.
Assisting were Deputies Harness and Taylor and Constable Eddie Brown.
