Woman charged in mother’s death due in court

MOUNT OLIVET, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Torilena Fields, 32, is scheduled for arraignment on Monday at 1:00 PM, facing charges related to the gruesome death of her mother in Robertson County.

Kentucky State Police arrested Fields last Wednesday after discovering her mother’s dismembered body beside a blood-stained mattress behind their home on Brierly Ridge Road.

When they got there, authorities say they had to use tear gas to force Fields from the residence. During the ensuing search, investigators made more grisly discoveries, including multiple body parts found inside a stainless steel pot in the oven.
