Woman charged in Lexington stabbing
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say a woman stabbed a man late Wednesday night on Magoffin Street and was stabbed herself in the arm. Investigators say 48-year old Tammy Cupit knocked on a man’s door around 10:45 p.m. and stabbed him in the arm and leg.
Police say they found Cupit across the street after the reported attack. They say she was first taken to the hospital to treat the stab wound to her arm and then she was taken to the Fayette County Detention Center where she was booked on an Assault 2nd Degree charge and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Investigators say the man who was stabbed twice refused to be taken to the hospital, so he was treated at the stabbing scene. His name wasn’t released.
