Woman arrested after trying to eat drugs in front of police

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- A woman arrested Friday afternoon in Laurel County reportedly tried to eat drugs she had on her before she was taken into custody.

The sheriff’s office says it received a complaint about a woman walking in the road around 1 p.m.

When deputies arrived, they say they found 30-year-old Brittany Meadows who had two outstanding warrants.

When deputies arrested her they say she pulled a suboxone strip from a pocket and tried to eat it.

According to the sheriff’s office, Meadows told deputies she put the suboxone in her mouth to avoid a drug charge.

That didn’t work out for her as the charges she’s facing include possession and tampering with physical evidence.
