Woman arrested for hit and run in Knox County

KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman has been arrested for a hit and run in Knox County that hurt a Corbin woman.

Michelle Huddleston Helton, a 41 year-old, has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failing to help.

Troopers say the crash happened Thursday night on Kentucky 1232.

State police think a 46-year-old was walking on the road when the passenger mirror on Helton’s car hit her and made her fall into the ditch.

An ambulance took Moore to the hospital. She is expected to be okay.
