Woman accused of trafficking fentanyl due in court Thursday
MOUNT STERLING, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A woman accused of trafficking fentanyl in Montgomery County is scheduled to appear in court later this week.
According to police, 38-year-old Megan Johnson was arrested over the weekend during a traffic stop in Mount Sterling.
Officers say they pulled Johnson over after receiving a tip that she was allegedly transporting a large amount of fentanyl from Lexington to Montgomery County.
Police say after taking Johnson to the county jail, officers noticed she was allegedly attempting to conceal a bag of suspected fentanyl.
According to court records, Johnson is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.
