Woman accused of leaving children in hot car

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman was arrested in Williamsburg after police say she left six children in a hot car while she shopped.

Investigators say 23-year old Gloria Sands, of Williamsburg, left the children, who ranged in age from 11-months to 11-years old, in a car with the windows down, no air conditioning on but with the keys in the vehicle in 85-degree heat.

Police say this happened in the Walmart parking lot.  Investigators say Sands was jailed on child endangerment charges.

Police say the children were all okay.
