Woman accused of buying ammo used in robbery involving minors
LEXINGTON Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman is in custody after police say she bought ammunition used to carry out a robbery with two juveniles in Lexington earlier this month.
Court documents say 18-year-old Amyia Morrison bought the 9 millimeter ammunition from Walmart on December 4.
Police say Morrison and the two juveniles shot a man during a robbery on Red Mile Road on December 9.
Police say the victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
According to court documents, the shell casings found at the scene were believed to be from the same ammunition Morrison bought.
Morrison is charged with assault, robbery, tampering with physical evidence and unlawful transaction with a minor.
